Make sure you check out the credentials of any agency you want to sign up with. You will need to check into all the other requirements you need for traveling and living abroad. Find out if the agency covers your airfare there and can help you find accommodations ahead of time.
Make sure you take care of travel insurance, health insurance, etc. Find out what your agency covers and what they don’t. You may also be looking at getting some shots before you go, and do some research into what types of water are safe to drink and what types of foods are safe to eat. Consider your health to be your own responsibility as nobody will look after it as carefully as you will.
If there are any special medications you need, make sure to bring your own supply in case you can’t get them there. Can you think of anything else? Make sure to ask the agency lots of questions. If they have done this before, they should know some answers to help you prepare.
